Come jam out and dance with your little one! Music and Movement is great for children. It enables children to learn new words and concepts through activities such as chanting rhymes, creating sounds using household items and singing songs to learn the alphabet. It helps develop their brains with rhythms and repetition, as well as their fine motor skills when you add scarves or instruments. Program geared towards toddlers, preschoolers, and their families. Come join to dance, march, sing, and wiggle around the room. It's a great way to get some exercise and have some musical fun together.
Hosted by the Alachua County Library District.
Music and Movement will be moving to the fourth Thursday of the month starting in June. For June through September, it will also be held at 11 a.m., and return to 3 p.m. in October. There will be no Music and Movement in November because of Thanksgiving.
