The U.S. Air Force Academy Band’s Falconaires jazz ensemble are bringing their high-energy big band sound to Gainesville. The Falconaires are a 20-piece big band made up of active-duty professional Airmen-musicians who tour the country performing a mix of both classical and cutting-edge jazz. Listeners will enjoy familiar hits from jazz luminaries such as Count Basie, Stan Kenton, and Glenn Miller, as well as brand new music written especially for this dynamic ensemble.
The Falconaires, the big band of the United States Air Force Academy Band, will present a performance in Gainesville at Bo Diddley Plaza on Sunday, October 20 at 4 p.m. This concert is free and open to the public.
