Advisory Board and Committee Openings

The Gainesville City Commission is pleased to receive applications for consideration to the boards/committees listed on the vacancies tab below. Applications from previous application cycles will not be considered; all applicants must submit an application during the current cycle. Application cycles run monthly, with the deadline typically at 11:59 pm on the last business day of the month.

PLEASE NOTE: Applicants to the DRB, HPB, GAPPT, RTSAB, SHIP-AHAC and the UAB must also complete the supplemental questions HERE along with the standard application.   

RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT UPDATE: As of 6/16/2022, unless professional expertise is listed as a requirement or preference for board membership and no resident applicant meets that criteria, board members must reside in the city and will be automatically removed from the board if they fail to remain residents of the city.

Paper applications are available in the Office of the City Clerk for pick-up on the first floor of City Hall (200 E. University Ave.), or may be mailed to those requesting one.
