Never Miss our Waste Collection Day Again! Sign up for Collection Service Reminders

The City of Gainesville and myGNV have launched a new service to make it even easier for neighbors to stay connected about waste and recycling collection programs. This new online service is designed to help you remember your waste collection day and when to put containers out curbside for collection. You can sign up to get weekly electronic notification reminders sent to you by email or text message the night before or the morning of your collection day.

Signing up for Collection Reminders is as Easy as 1-2-3:

1. Visit myGNV or download the myGNV app, and click on the garbage cart icon.
2. Enter your home address, verify by clicking “Yes! That’s Correct” in the black bar, and select your service day & reminder time.
3. Wait for a confirmation message and reply. You’re all set to receive your service reminder.

Please note that the application only functions for neighbors receiving residential curbside collection service within the City of Gainesville. You can unsubscribe at any time using the application or by contacting us at waste@gainesvillefl.gov.
