Current Employee Benefits

The City of Gainesville has established and maintains two defined benefit pension plans for its employees. In addition to the city's mandatory pension plan, employees can also contribute to a 457 Deferred Compensation Plan or a ROTH IRA to build additional income for retirement.  Also provided is a Retiree Health Savings (RHS) plan which serves as a tool to help employees save money for post-employment medical expenses.
