Bivens Arm Nature Park, one of Gainesville’s oldest nature parks, features nearly 2 miles of scenic hiking trails. These shady trails border basin marshes and wind through a mesic hammock under shady live oaks and towering pines. The park features an observation pavilion with built-in seating overlooking a marsh. The forests and wetlands provide an important buffer between urban Gainesville and the extensive natural areas of Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park.
