Nestled between the beautiful Kanapaha Botanical Gardens and the sweeping vistas of Lake Kanapaha, Broken Arrow Bluff Nature Park provides treasured views of Florida’s natural beauty. Hidden under the branches of mighty live oaks and an upland mixed forest, the limerock outcrops border a sinkhole. The lake’s surface waters connect to hidden aquifers that lie beneath your feet. The abundant bird life that thrives in the marshy lake and surrounding forest provides a musical backdrop to the nature scenes mirrored in the water. Dogs on leashes are welcome.
Directions to this hidden gem: Broken Arrow Bluff Nature Park is located west of the Interstate off of Archer Road. Driving west, look for the Kanapaha Botanical Gardens sign on your right. Turn onto the road that leads to the Gardens, then take another right into the road leading into the neighborhood. (Note -This is not the gate to the Gardens.) Follow the road to the cul-de-sac at the end. There you will see the gate for Broken Arrow Bluff Nature Park. Please be mindful of parking in the cul-de-sac as it is shared with neighbors as well.
