C.F. Franklin Memorial Park

This city park serves as a memorial to C.F. Franklin and offers a green haven with beautiful landscaping, shaded walking paths, and comfortable benches. A colorful playground and basketball courts are available for neighborhood games. The park avails grills, picnic tables and a pavilion for group gatherings. Dogs on leashes are welcome.

Conoly F. Franklin Sr., the park’s namesake, was a long-time neighborhood proponent and his advocacy resulted in creating this neighborhood park.

The Gainesville Parks, Recreation & Cultural Affairs department chose this project for NeighborWorks Week (2017) in collaboration with the Neighborhood Housing & Development Corporation and Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation.
