Cora P. Roberson Park invites you to venture along its peaceful path around the stormwater pond with a sparkling fountain in the center. You may choose to jog or even walk your leashed dog along the water’s edge. Sports enthusiasts will appreciate the two lighted, full basketball courts and an open field for all kinds of activities. Gather with friends and family under the shady pavilion with picnic tables and grills. Kids will enjoy the swing sets. This park has convenient on-street parking.
Cora P. Roberson was a lifelong Gainesville resident who was an advocate in the community. She held a bachelor’s degree from Florida Memorial College and a Master of Education from the Tuskegee Institute. Dedicating 34 years of service, she was the first director of the Alachua County Head Start program.
