This 50-meter pool is a full-featured aquatics facility that is open year-round. It is heated in the winter and cooled in the summer. This pool is home to many area swim teams. It includes short and long course lap lanes, a super-shallow section (1.5ft – 4ft), and two 1-meter and one 3-meter diving boards. This pool features an ADA access ramp, lift, and stairs. Kids and adults alike will enjoy the aqua slide. The splash pad provides lots of watery fun for the littles. You can bring a bag lunch and picnic under our shade structures. Dress and shower in our locker rooms. Our professionally trained staff will ensure that everyone has a great time at the pool.

This park pool pays tribute to Dwight H. Hunter, a past City of Gainesville Recreation Director. He was also a school principal and served on the Recreation Advisory Board. He was a dedicated civic leader and he devoted his career to the betterment of the youth in our community.
